The penalty for an incorrectly written product code on a cash register receipt will be reduced
The National Assembly has adopted a draft law amending the Tax Code, which will reduce penalties for an incorrectly written product code on a cash register receipt in Armenia.
Previously, the fine for an incorrectly written product code (based on the classification of foreign economic activity) amounted to 250,000 drams, but now it has been reduced to 50,000 drams.
Additionally, if the incorrect code does not lead to tax consequences, meaning the business does not evade taxes, the first violation will result in a warning, and if the violation is repeated within a year, the fine will be 50,000 drams.
It should be noted that the use of cash registers is mandatory for organizations and individual entrepreneurs in Armenia when conducting retail sales or cash payments.
