2 fishing boats have been seized by eco-patrol officers from the lakeside area of Noratus, Gegharkunik region. The Environmental and Natural Resources Inspection Body issued a statement about the confiscation.
On the Vardenis-Martuni highway, 60.2 kg of coregonus fish was found in the trunk of a “Vaz 2104” vehicle. It was also seized.
In the central market area of Gyumri, Shirak region, illegal sale of coregonus was recorded. A total of 15 kg (45 pieces) of coregonus fish was found and seized.
During the coregonus spawning period in Lake Sevan, various measures are being taken to prevent the sale of coregonus fish and beluga sturgeon. According to the law, coregonus fishing in Lake Sevan is prohibited from November 15, 2024, to January 20, 2025.
