Among CIS countries, visa applications of category B have also been most frequently rejected for Armenian citizens

Armenia ranks second among CIS countries in terms of U.S. tourist visa application rejections. This information was published by the U.S. Department of State.

In 2024, obtaining a U.S. tourist visa was the most difficult for Uzbek citizens among CIS countries. According to the statistics, nearly 65% of category B visa applications from Uzbekistan were rejected. Armenia follows with a 59.4% rejection rate, and Turkmenistan is third with 58.8%.

In post-Soviet countries like Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, the numbers are significantly different. The rejection rates are 21%, 9%, and 7%, respectively.

The highest rejection rate globally is for Somali citizens (77%). Obtaining a U.S. tourist visa is easiest for citizens of the UAE, Cyprus, and Romania. Here rejection rates do not exceed 2.6%.
