Students from Artsakh forcibly displaced to higher educational institutions will receive tuition fee compensation

By the government’s decision on December 12, allocations will be made from the state budget of students forcibly displaced from Artsakh studying in vocational and secondary professional educational institutions. The tution fees will be compensated.

According to the decision, the government will cover the tuition fees for Artsakh students enrolled in paid programs at institutions offering initial (craft) and secondary professional education as of September 19, 2023.

Additionally, first-year students enrolled this year will also have their tuition fees compensated.

Students and teaching staff of vocational and secondary professional educational institutions in regions will receive compensation for transportation expenses if they commute for work or study to institutions located more than 5 km away from their current place of residence.

A total of 54.5735 million AMD will be allocated for this program. Of this amount, 30.71 million AMD will be directed towards tuition fee compensation for students from families forcibly displaced from Artsakh and studying in vocational institutions. The government will allocate 23.863 million AMD for transportation cost compensation for students and teaching staff of vocational institutions.
