Four Partner Organizations of the “Academic City” Project Are in Armenia

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS) reports that representatives from four international partner organizations of the “Academic City” project arrived in Armenia from January 29 to 31. The visit includes a series of professional meetings and discussions with the academic community.

German and Italian companies have joined the efforts in Yerevan, overseeing the master plan design, the formation of a technological cluster, the development of an urban strategy, and the planning of transportation mobility for the Academic City.

Particular attention has been given to agricultural education and research prospects in Armenia, based on the expertise of the School of Life Sciences at the Technical University of Munich. Workshops are planned with representatives and students of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

Additionally, with the support of the Academic City Foundation, working discussions were held with the National Polytechnic University and the University of Architecture and Construction. These discussions focused on the transformation experience of the Technical University of Munich and the vision for technical education development in Armenia.

A meeting is also scheduled with representatives of Armenia’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem to explore development opportunities in the sector. During the visit, discussions will also take place with scientific organizations and the Higher Education and Science Committee regarding the further implementation of the project.
