Why Was a Foreign Ambulance Driving in Yerevan?

Narek Zeynalyan, the Director of the “Surb Grigor Lusavorich” Medical Center, addressed the video circulating online that showed a Turkish ambulance moving through the streets of the Nor Nork administrative district. This sight caused criticism on social media networks.

According to him, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia (RA) of Yezidi ethnicity was transported to Armenia from the city of Colmar, France, by ambulance and admitted to the “Surb Grigor Lusavorich” Medical Center. The situation did not have any political or other subtext.

Zeynalyan considers the manipulation and political coloring of an ambulance transporting a patient from any country unacceptable, regardless of which country’s medical service is in question. He emphasized that the sole mission of an ambulance is to save the patient’s life and stabilize their health condition.
