“Yolyan” center provided with medication for thalassemia treatment

Within the framework of Armenia-India cooperation, the “Yolyan” Hematology and Oncology Center has been provided with a new batch of medication, totaling 21,600 capsules.

The medication was officially handed over by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan emphasized that the development of Armenia-India cooperation, especially in the healthcare sector, is extremely important. She noted that this charitable initiative is of vital significance for children living with thalassemia, as the medication is provided free of charge. At the same time, the expansion of bilateral partnership and the possibility of implementing new joint projects were highlighted to enhance the effectiveness of patient treatment.

During the visit, a tour was organized accompanied by the director of the center, Hayk Grigoryan, during which the center’s activities and medical capabilities were presented.
