Case of illegal alcohol and tobacco sales uncovered

The Police have uncovered another case of illegal entrepreneurship.

On February 3, police officers from the Kumayri department received information that a 47-year-old resident of Mazmanyan Street in Gyumri was selling vodka and tobacco without excise stamps in his apartment.

The man was invited to the police department on the same day, where he confessed to keeping 31 bottles of vodka, 460 packs of cigarettes, 38 electronic cigarettes, and liquids intended for them, all purchased for the purpose of sale.

He also noted that his supplier was a commercial outlet operating at the “Bavra” customs checkpoint.

According to the Police, the circumstances of the case are being clarified.
