Wanted persons arrested and transferred to penitentiary institutions
As a result of operational-search measures carried out by various police departments on February 17, several wanted individuals were located and arrested.
Officers of the Zvartnots Airport Department of the Community Police arrested and brought a 68-year-old female resident of Yerevan to the department following the arrival of a flight from Istanbul to Yerevan.
She had been wanted by Georgian law enforcement authorities since April 22, 2009, on charges of illegal crossing of the state border and document forgery. Detention had been selected as a preventive measure against her. The initiating authority of the search and the Prosecutor’s Office have been informed of her discovery.
On the same day, officers of the Search Department of the Yerevan City Administration of the Criminal Police located and brought a 37-year-old man to the administration from near an address on Artsakh Street. He had been wanted since February 12 on charges of robbery. Detention had also been selected as a preventive measure for him. The man was transferred to a penitentiary institution.
Officers of the Davitashen Division of the Community Police located, arrested, and brought a 45-year-old man to the division from near an address on Davitashen 1st Street. He had been wanted by the Nor Nork Division of the Community Police since July 14, 2025, on charges of theft. Detention had also been selected as his preventive measure.
Additionally, officers of the Vardenis Division of the Community Police located, arrested, and brought a 39-year-old man from the Jrvezh neighborhood of Yerevan to the Vardenis Division. He was wanted on charges of evading the service of a sentence imposed for violating traffic safety and transport operation rules. The preventive measure against him is detention. He was also transferred to a penitentiary institution.
