The question of Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan’s surgery is under discussion
The defense team of Mikael Ajapahyan announced that the Penitentiary Medical Center has proposed organizing the necessary surgical intervention for the latter.
On October 7, based on the conclusion of the Izmirlian Medical Center, the issue of Archbishop Mikael’s surgery at his own expense was submitted to the Penitentiary Service. On October 29, the defense lawyer submitted an application to the Penitentiary Medical Center, but a response was received only on November 28, according to which the Archbishop had refused a free surgery.
According to the defense team, the necessary documents, including medical center references and examination results, were presented in the new application. The Director of the Penitentiary Medical Center reported that the application and documents were redirected to the Yerevan-Kentron subdivision, and a proposal was also made to organize Mikael Ajapahyan’s surgical intervention.
