Murder case in Gyumri solved
According to the Investigative Committee, the murder case that occurred in Gyumri on December 22 has been solved.
It is recalled that a man’s body was discovered on Lalayan Street in the city of Gyumri. The deceased was identified as Hovhannes G., a resident of Gyumri born in 1974.
According to preliminary data, it was revealed that hours before the incident, Hovhannes G. had consumed alcohol with another person in one of the houses on Lalayan Street. An argument arose between them over household issues, which escalated into a brawl. Hovhannes G. died as a result of the physical injuries sustained.
Officers of the Shirak Regional Department of the Criminal Police and the Kumayri Division of the Community Police arrested the perpetrator—a 50-year-old resident of Gyumri—in the city of Vanadzor.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated at the Investigative Committee regarding the incident.
