A group of humanitarian deminers and medical workers operating in Aleppo has returned to Armenia
The Ministry of Defense reports that Armenia’s professional group of humanitarian deminers and medical workers, carrying out a mission in Syria’s Aleppo region, has temporarily suspended its activities. The group has been in Syria since 2019.
On November 29, the group returned to Armenia.
In recent days, the situation in Aleppo has been tense. Thousands of militants, led by the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” group, have captured several settlements within a few days. The operations are primarily taking place in the Idlib and Aleppo regions.
According to new data, anti-government militants have seized most of Aleppo, and the airport is closed.
