Deadline for 2025 winter conscription extended until February 13
The deadline for conducting the 2025 winter conscription in Armenia has been extended until February 13, 2026, inclusive. The relevant decision was adopted during the session of the RA Government on January 29.
The justification for the Government’s decision states that the extension is necessitated by the need to fully complete the health examination process for citizens subject to conscription and to clarify their draft status based on those results.
According to the Ministry of Defense, this change will help avoid granting unnecessary deferments and prevent the postponement of medical examinations to the 2026 summer conscription period.
As a reminder, the winter conscription for compulsory military and alternative services for the rank-and-file male citizens of the RA was declared from November 24, 2025, to January 31, 2026, inclusive. The replenishment of the Armed Forces was scheduled from January 7 to January 31, 2026.
