Body of serviceman discovered in MoD N unit; one person detained
On February 26, the body of serviceman Narek Hamlet Hakobyan was discovered in unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense. The information was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The department states that an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the case. The Investigative Committee informed Amnews that one person was detained during the preliminary investigation.
Earlier, media outlets reported that the serviceman had died in unit N in the Gegharkunik region as a result of a shot fired by another serviceman.
As a reminder, on February 7, the body of contract serviceman Davit Armen Manukyan was discovered in another unit of the same department.
