
Aram Hovhannisyan has been reappointed as the head of the police
Aram Hovhannisyan has been reappointed to the position of Chief of Police — Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. The decision was signed by Nikol Pashinyan on December 10.
Aram Hovhannisyan has worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 1990. He has mainly carried out his work in the Ararat, Armavir regions, and Yerevan.
From 2020 to 2023, he held the position of First Deputy Chief of Police.
In 2022, at the suggestion of the Prime Minister and by presidential decree, Hovhannisyan was awarded the rank of Police Major General.
On January 9, 2023, he was appointed as the Chief of Police and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. He replaced Valeri Osipyan, who was appointed Chief of Police in 2018.
