
It is known who received the most votes in the Gyumri primaries
Independent candidate Sarik Minasyan won the Gyumri primaries with 253 votes.
The second-highest number of votes went to Civil Contract MP Davit Arushanyan, who received 220 votes. Another ruling faction MP, Karen Sarukhanyan, garnered 143 votes from Gyumri residents. Levon Ananyan received 91 votes, Shavarsh Aramyan 88, Emma Barseghyan 113, and Vahagn Mkrtchyan 138. A total of 1,050 ballots were cast across 5 ballot boxes, of which 34 were invalid.
The candidate with the most votes will be appointed as the interim mayor. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Sarik Minasyan is an independent. He currently serves as the head of the Gyumri division of the Unified Social Service. Previously, he was an MP from the Bright Armenia faction. He also worked at Gyumri Municipality.
Gyumri has been without a mayor since October 28.
