Newly Appointed President Trump Considers Canada the 51st U.S. State, Departing Trudeau Rejects the Idea

The newly elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, has shared a map of the United States on the Truth Social platform. In the map posted by Trump, Canada is depicted as part of the United States. The post comes amid discussions about proposals to make Canada the 51st state of the U.S.

In the image shared by Trump, Canada is colored the same as the United States, with “United States” written in black across both. Neighboring Mexico is shown in a different color, with only its northern part included in the image.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dismissed the possibility of Canada becoming part of the U.S. Canada is currently facing a political crisis, prompting Trudeau to announce his resignation as Prime Minister. He also stated that he would step down as leader of the Liberal Party.

Trump has promised to impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from Canada following his inauguration on January 20. This could significantly impact Canada’s economy.

The newly elected U.S. President has also not ruled out the use of military or economic measures to acquire the Panama Canal and Greenland. Additionally, he has vowed to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “American Gulf.”
