On December 10, the Day of the Proclamation of the Constitution and the Independence Referendum of the Republic of Artsakh, political and public figures, led by Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan, laid flowers at Yerablur.
Accompanying Shahramanyan at Yerablur were the President of the National Assembly (NA), Ashot Danielyan, State Minister Nghdeh Iskandaryan, as well as several Members of Parliament and public figures.
Gagik Baghunts, the Deputy Speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly, stressed that the idea will always remain in their hearts, and they will continue to fight for the restoration of their historical homeland.
Following the visit, they proceeded to the Artsakh Representation to participate in the hearings titled “Return to Artsakh: Challenges and Problems.”
The hearings began with the national anthems of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and Artsakh, after which the Lord’s Prayer was recited by Father Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, the priest of the Holy Vardanants Martyrs Church at Yerablur. It is noteworthy that Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, who has joined Nikol Pashinyan’s anti-church campaign, did not participate in the hearings.
NA President Ashot Danielyan noted that the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group took place without the consent of the Artsakh authorities. Therefore, he stated, it violates international law. He emphasized that the conflict has not yet been resolved.
