The Investigative Committee conducted a search in the Representation of Artsakh
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia (СК РА) conducted a search in the Representation of Artsakh as part of the criminal proceedings initiated in June. According to lawyer Roman Yeritsyan, the proceedings are related to an alleged economic crime. It concerns the credit agreement concluded between a specific legal entity and a bank operating in Armenia, as well as the cession agreement concluded by an investment fund operating in Artsakh.
“The search took place on the basis of the court’s decision, which also stems from the results of the criminal investigation conducted against Samvel Karapetyan. We all understand the reason. “Prosecutions against the state institutions of Artsakh have been active for a long time, and parliamentary hearings have become an additional reason for new searches,” Artak Beglaryan, chairman of the “Artsakh” union, said in a conversation with journalists, stressing that it is still unclear what documents they are looking for.
The day before, the representatives of Artsakh held parliamentary hearings, where Artsakh officials stated that they are not going to give up their right to a collective return to Nagorno-Karabakh. The Investigative Committee confirmed the fact of the search, noting that necessary investigative actions are being carried out.
