“Homeland” party will not participate in the elections

The “Homeland” (Hayreniq) party, led by Artur Vanetsyan, has issued a statement informing that it will not participate in the upcoming 2026 parliamentary elections.

The party recorded that it continues to view a change of power as a paramount priority, linking it to the strategic goals of the state. At the same time, it was noted that internal political tension persists in the country, the political field remains polarized, and there is a lack of a unifying state ideology or a clear value axis.

The statement also emphasizes that mechanisms of legal and moral responsibility toward state institutions do not provide effective counterbalances and oversight, while political processes continue to be built on non-institutional logic, which hinders stable state development.

Furthermore, according to the statement, the large number of forces participating in the elections within the opposition field could lead to the fragmentation of votes and the inefficient distribution of political resources.

Summarizing the above, the party’s executive body has decided not to participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections and urged its members and supporters to cast their votes for any of the genuine opposition forces. Simultaneously, it was announced that the party will continue its development process across all areas of party-building.
