Ararat Mirzoyan expressed condolences to the Foreign Minister of Iran: what was discussed?

On March 2, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. This was reported by the Embassy of Iran in Armenia.

According to the statement, Mirzoyan expressed his condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, as well as several Iranian citizens, including women and children. He also conveyed Armenia’s readiness to provide humanitarian assistance if necessary. Mirzoyan expressed hope that the current situation would reach a diplomatic resolution.

In his turn, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, referring to the actions of the USA and Israel, characterized them as illegal aggression carried out against Iran. According to him, Iran is prepared to continue its self-defense for as long as necessary. He also noted that Iran is currently engaged in a full-scale war.
