
The Question of Armenia’s Constitution Is Not Part of the Peace Agreement: Deputy Foreign Minister
In a briefing with journalists, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan addressed Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. He stated that there is no specific agreement to hold meetings at the ministerial or heads-of-state level between Armenia and Azerbaijan. However, the Armenian side is interested in intensifying meetings to finalize the drafting of the joint agreement text as soon as possible.
Azerbaijan has sent the 11th version of edits regarding the peace agreement. Currently, there are issues that have not yet been agreed upon between the parties. Negotiations are ongoing. The question of the Constitution is not part of the peace agreement. And there are also no discussions regarding demilitarization.
According to Kostanyan, there is no clause on unblocking in the text of the agreement, but discussions on the topic are ongoing. After the conclusion of the meeting of the commissions on the delimitation of the state border and border security issues, the matter was discussed by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
