On November 18, several ministers submitted their resignation letters. In the morning, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the reason for this decision was not personal but systemic, something he had already addressed publicly.
The first to submit a resignation was the former president of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), Karen Andreasyan, who had held the position since 2022.
Following the resignation, the acting president is appointed based on seniority. The oldest member of the SJC, Armen Danielyan, declined to assume the responsibilities.
As per the rules, Karen Tumanyan will temporarily serve as the acting president of the Supreme Judicial Council.
