Salome Zourabichvili has appealed to Georgia’s Constitutional Court regarding election violations in the country

The President of Georgia has appealed to the Constitutional Court over parliamentary election violations. She was citing two main reasons for the appeal.

According to the president, the first issue was the restricted ability of citizens living abroad to participate in the elections. The second concern was the violation of voting secrecy.

In the October 26 parliamentary elections, the ruling party “Georgian Dream” secured power for the fourth consecutive term. However, four opposition forces that won parliamentary seats dispute the results. The same does the president herself.
