Members of the Supreme Spiritual Council summoned to the Investigative Committee
Since this morning, summonses are being delivered through the police to the bishops of the Supreme Spiritual Council. This was reported by attorney Ara Zohrabyan.
According to him, several bishops have already received the notices, according to which they have been named as defendants and are summoned to appear before the Investigative Committee today.
The bishops are accused of obstructing the execution of a judicial act.
Zohrabyan stated that this action constitutes an interference in the internal affairs of the Church and is aimed at obstructing the holding of the Assembly of Bishops.
To recap, at the invitation of Karekin II, the Assembly of Bishops is scheduled to convene in Sankt Pölten, Austria, from February 16–19.
