With the change in payment methods for transportation, the revenue of “Yerevan Bus” CJSC is increasing
The Yerevan Municipality frequently summarizes the increased revenue resulting from changes in transportation payment methods.
Compared to the previous week, the revenue of “Yerevan Bus” CJSC has increased by about 24 million drams, with a daily increase of 3.5 million drams.
Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan recently mentioned in a press conference that with the launch of 171 new buses, the condition of public transportation will improve significantly. These buses have not yet been put into service, as they are still in the customs clearance phase. Additionally, videos are circulating online where residents complain about the bus service on route 18.
At the same time, the introduction of new methods is causing payment issues. The municipality has ordered solutions to address these issues. Starting January 1, if passengers do not pay the required fare, the service will be able to enforce administrative measures.
