The unified ticketing system website has been launched
During a working session of the Yerevan Municipality, Mayor Tigran Avinyan introduced the website transport.yerevan.am, designed for the unified ticketing system. Through this website, users can explore ticket packages, use a calculator to determine the most affordable ticket option, and more. In the “Privileges” section, users can enter their Public Service Number (PSN) to check whether they fall into any privileged groups.
At this stage, certain issues seem to persist, as in some cases, entering the PSN does not display the privilege group. In such instances, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan advised trying to enter the code multiple times, if unsuccessful, users are encouraged to contact the relevant authorities or use the Active Citizen platform or the “Contact us” section of the newly launched website.
Residents of Yerevan will have their personal account on this platform, gaining access to all services in a single environment with one user account, eliminating the need to visit multiple websites or manage various accounts. This approach aligns with practices already implemented in many developed cities. I want to talk about moving forward on this path together because I expect not only your appreciation, but perhaps more importantly, constructive criticism and feedback with suggestions, – stated Tigran Avinyan.
In addition to exploring the ticketing system, citizens will soon have the opportunity to purchase electronic tickets through the website by linking their bank cards to the system.
It is also worth noting that starting January 1, the transition to a fully cashless payment method for the transportation ticketing system will take place, and coin-accepting machines will be removed from vehicles. The complete transition to the unified ticketing system is set for February 1.
