
The Deadline for Applications to the Housing Program for Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh Extended
During its session on December 27, the government decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications for the first phase of the state housing support program for families forcibly displaced from Artsakh. The deadline has been extended to December 31, 2025.
The government approved the aforementioned support program on May 16, 2024. A month later, the process of issuing certificates for purchasing apartments or properties in buildings under construction, as well as for acquiring individual residential houses, began. On July 15, the issuance of certificates for constructing individual houses commenced. Additionally, starting from August 1, certificates for mortgage repayment assistance became available.
In 242 settlements across Armenia, individuals receive assistance of 5 million AMD per person when purchasing a home, in 142 settlements, the assistance amounts to 4 million AMD. In the remaining settlements, including Yerevan (excluding Zones 1 and 2), it is 3 million AMD. The support amounts were determined based on an analysis of real estate market transaction statistics from 2023.
Beneficiaries of the program include individuals displaced to Armenia in 2023 due to the depopulation of Artsakh, as well as those displaced during the 44-day war. According to the latest data, around 3,300 families have received 10 million AMD each in assistance and have acquired real estate.
