A Portion of Land Adjacent to Tsitsernakaberd Highway Returned to Armenia

By the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court on July 2, 2024, the General Prosecutor’s Office’s lawsuit was accepted, and a 12,400 square meter plot of land adjacent to Tsitsernakaberd Highway in Yerevan has been returned to Armenia. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, this land was originally under state ownership but was transferred to a private individual following a sale agreement in 2005.

Based on the court’s decision, on December 26, 2024, the Republic of Armenia’s ownership rights were registered for the 12,400 square meter plot, located at Tsitsernakaberd Highway 2/5 in Yerevan, with a cadastral value of 730,462,000 AMD, designated as a “special protected area.”

In the lawsuit presented as part of the General Prosecutor’s Office’s function to protect state interests, the court was asked to annul the sale agreement signed between the Mayor of Yerevan and V.T. on August 17, 2005, and apply the consequences of invalidity.
