Upper Lars is closed for trucks, what is the situation on Armenia’s roads?
The Roads Department of Georgia reports that traffic through the Upper Lars checkpoint is currently restricted. The movement of heavy and oversized trucks, including vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers, has been temporarily prohibited on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway. The checkpoint is open only for passenger transport.
Meanwhile, precipitation continues in various regions of the Republic of Armenia (RA). Currently, it is snowing in the Vardenyats Pass, accompanied by dense fog; visibility reaches only 2–5 meters. Fog is also present in the sections of Artashat, Talin, as well as the turns of Spitak and Dilijan, with visibility at 100–150 meters.
Sleet is observed in the Aragats and Artik regions, while precipitation, primarily in the form of rain, is occurring in the regions of Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Talin, Akhuryan, Aparan, Spitak, Dilijan, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Gavar, and Martuni.
