Second Validators Installed in Buses and Trolleybuses
Second validators have been installed in Yerevan’s MAN-brand buses and trolleybuses. Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Suren Grigoryan, announced that all public transport buses will soon be equipped with second validators.
During certain hours, the load on public transport is significantly high and we need to work continuously to prevent such situations. As part of this effort, we had already announced that second validators would be installed. The current stock of spare validators has already been used, and they have been installed in MAN buses and trolleybuses. By February and March, we plan to continue these installations, as a new order of validators has been placed.
The 12-meter-long MAN buses can carry 25 seated and 80 standing passengers. The vehicles are equipped with ventilation and heating systems.
It is worth noting that as of January 1, 2025, coin-operated payment devices in public transport have been deactivated. By February 1, a full transition to a unified ticketing system will be completed.
