60 settlements de-energized in Armenia

As a result of heavy snowfall in Armenia, around 60 settlements have been de-energized. The information was reported by Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC.

It is noted that electricity supply has been suspended in 54 settlements across six regions due to adverse weather conditions. Disruptions were recorded in the Vayots Dzor, Ararat, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Tavush, and Shirak regions.

Another six settlements in the Lori region were de-energized due to damage to two metal supports of the 35 kV Ayrum overhead line.

ENA informs that restoration works are being carried out in all directions.

According to the company, electricity supply will be restored within the coming hours.
