International agency provides optimistic assessment of Armenia’s economy

The prestigious international rating agency Fitch Ratings has revised Armenia’s Outlook to “Positive” and affirmed its rating at the “BB” level.

The revision of the rating outlook is driven by several key factors: the growth of Armenia’s international reserves, fiscal consolidation, stabilization of public debt, and sustained economic growth.

The agency also notes that the peace process with Azerbaijan, mediated by the USA, contributes to the strengthening of stability in the region.

According to Fitch’s forecasts, Armenia’s real GDP growth will reach 5.5% in 2025, while in 2026-2027, the growth rate will remain above the 5.0% level.

Additional opportunities for positive growth may arise if the peace treaty with Azerbaijan is implemented and Turkey opens the border.

The agency emphasizes that while the global economy is subject to frequent fluctuations, Armenia not only maintains stability but also demonstrates high development dynamics.
