10-point traffic jams in Yerevan
Following heavy snowfall in Yerevan, traffic has come to a near standstill. According to Yandex Maps data, 10-point traffic jams have been recorded in the capital.
The congestion is widespread across the city’s main areas: Kentron, Arabkir, Nork-Marash, Shengavit, Erebuni, and several other administrative districts.
Heavy traffic flow is particularly observed at major intersections and bridges, causing vehicle movement to slow down significantly or, in some sections, become nearly impossible.
The jams have been caused not only by the heavy snow but also by traffic accidents occurring in various areas due to the weather. Currently, the number of accidents exceeds a dozen.
According to Yandex, the situation is rated at the maximum of 10 points, indicating serious traffic issues.
Drivers are advised to choose alternative routes if possible or to postpone travel until the congestion eases.
