Illegally kept animals moved to Yerevan Zoo
Seven wild animals were moved from the “Hrashq Aygi” restaurant complex in the Ararat province to the Yerevan Zoo. The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body reports this.
On February 3, employees of the Inspection Body and the “Yerevan Zoo” CNCO (Community Non-Commercial Organization), on the basis of lacking a permit, took 7 animals from the restaurant complex, among which there are species registered in the Red Book of the RA. Specifically: 1 Lynx, 2 Griffon vultures, 2 Demoiselle cranes, 1 Alexandrine parakeet, and 1 Rose-ringed parakeet.
The animals have been moved to the Yerevan Zoo, where they will undergo a medical examination and remain under professional care.
