Ministry of Health clarifies: no draft project for salary cuts is being circulated
The Ministry of Health denies information spread in the media claiming that the Ministry is circulating a draft project to cut doctors’ salaries. The Ministry states that the published news does not correspond to reality.
The MoH clarifies that within the framework of the introduction of Universal Health Insurance, a minimum reimbursement amount has been established, which in no way defines the amount of doctors’ salaries. Salaries are not regulated by reimbursed prices, and each medical organization independently determines the doctor’s salary in accordance with the contract signed between the employer and the employee.
It is also noted that the salary cannot be lower than the quota approved by the Board of Trustees of the Fund.
