Operation of kindergarten kitchen in Hobardzi village suspended

In the Lori region, the production activities of the kindergarten kitchen in Hobardzi village of the Gyulagarak community have been suspended.

Inspectors from the Lori Regional Center of the Food Safety Inspection Body (FSIB) conducted an inspection in the kitchen of the “Kindergarten of Hobardzi Village, Gyulagarak Community, Lori Region of the Republic of Armenia” CNCO (Community Non-Commercial Organization) and recorded a number of sanitary and hygienic violations.

Specifically, the floor, walls, ceiling, and doors of the kitchen did not have smooth surfaces and were in disrepair. Working surfaces and equipment were not maintained in proper condition, making their cleaning and disinfection difficult.

In addition, the food facility lacked a hand-washing sink equipped with hot and cold water, as well as means for disinfection and hygienic drying.

The inspection also revealed that the existing artificial ventilation system failed to prevent the penetration of contaminated air, and the staff was not provided with a locker room.

Taking into account the discovered violations, the operation of the kindergarten kitchen has been suspended. The director of the CNCO has been instructed to eliminate the deficiencies within the prescribed period.
