Slaughterhouse operations suspended

Inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body (FSIB) carried out veterinary-epidemiological monitoring at a slaughterhouse owned by individual entrepreneur Aram Khudinyan in Vanadzor.

It was revealed that the production facility operates with violations that do not comply with the sanitary and hygienic norms established by legal acts.

Specifically, during the observation, it was found that the walls of the production premises were not covered with waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials; the ceilings or overhead structures did not prevent the accumulation of dirt, the growth of mold, and the possibility of particles shedding; and the doors of the premises did not have smooth surfaces and were not made of non-absorbent materials.

By the decision of the Head of the Inspection Body, the production activities of the slaughterhouse have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for the owner to eliminate the discovered violations.
