An updated support program will operate for forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh

Starting in 2025, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will implement an updated support program for forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh.

The program aims to cover the living expenses and other needs of those forcibly displaced from Artsakh. The plan is set to operate as follows: from January to March 2025, they will receive support of 50,000 drams for the same beneficiary groups.

Beginning in April, individuals who meet the following criteria and are residing in Armenia, registered with the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, may be eligible for the program:

– Have a 1st or 2nd group disability or a high or severe degree of functional limitation,

-Are 63 years of age or older,

-Receive benefits due to the loss of a breadwinner,

-Are under the age of 18.

The monthly social support amounts for each beneficiary are planned as follows:

-From April to June 2025, 40,000 drams per month,

-From July to December 2025, 30,000 drams per month.

According to the National Security Service’s press center, more than 115,000 people from Artsakh have migrated to Armenia. As of October 10, 5,600 forcibly displaced individuals from Artsakh have applied for Armenian citizenship, with 3,611 having been granted citizenship.
