A number of athletes awarded sports titles
A solemn ceremony for the awarding of sports titles took place today at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. Deputy Minister Hasmik Avagyan presented awards to several representatives of the sporting world.
The title of Master of Sport of International Class was awarded to freestyle wrestler Sargis Begoyan, shooter Hayk Minasyan, sambo wrestlers Robert Simonyan and Seyran Sarukhanyan, boxers Manvel Petrosyan, Argishti Hakobyan, and Andranik Martirosyan, Greco-Roman wrestler Razmik Kurdyan, and grappling representative Rafael Kostanyan.
The title of Master of Sport of the RA was conferred upon Greco-Roman wrestlers Samvel Terteryan and Hayk Manukyan, freestyle wrestler Arman Musikyan, weightlifter Grigor Ghazaryan, arm-wrestler Arman Mrteyan, boxer Simon Simonyan, powerlifting representatives Ashot Antonyan and Alik Khachatryan, tennis players Sofi Gidachyan, Lilit Antonyan, and Avetik Ghazaryan, wushu practitioner Arsen Baghryan, sambo wrestler Vadis Hambardzumyan, and grappling representatives Rafik Aleksanyan, Gor Khachatryan, and Davit Gasparyan.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the athletes, thanking them for upholding Armenia’s honor on international platforms.
The athletes and coaches also expressed their gratitude for the reception and state appreciation, assuring that they would continue their efforts to raise the flag of the Republic of Armenia at World and European Championships.
