Armenia featured in international newspaper
An article dedicated to Armenia has been published in the prestigious Italian periodical, La Stampa.
The piece was released following a familiarization visit organized for Italian journalists by the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy.
The author notes that Armenia’s most surprising feature is not a single monument or view, but how rapidly the environment changes—shifting in a few minutes from urban noise to shaded canyons and rock-cut monasteries.
The journey continues to resort towns which, according to the article, seem as if they emerged from Russian novels. Armenia is presented as a country where every stop requires several hours of travel, yet each new scene is radically different from the previous one.
Special reference was made to the Vayots Dzor province. The article describes the Noravank monastic complex, with its honey-colored structures that seem to blend into the surrounding cliffs.
The trip concludes in Syunik, along the winding road leading to Tatev Monastery and via one of the longest cable cars in the world.
The article also emphasizes the importance of Armenian cuisine, particularly the traditional lavash.
According to the authors, every journey to Armenia offers a unique experience and a sequence of memorable sights in a country that is small on the map but infinite in its impressions.
