His Holiness Catholicos Aram I issues a message to Armenian communities

In recent days, military operations launched by the USA and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran have encompassed the entire Middle East. This situation has also affected the Armenian communities established in the region, which are facing the consequences of the war.

His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, is following the current perilous situation with concern and is in constant contact with the Armenian communities of the Middle East. However, it has not yet been possible to establish contact with the Armenian dioceses of Iran due to the disruption of communication means.

In his message, the Catholicos expressed deep condolences to the families of all victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded. Simultaneously, he called for a cessation of hostilities and for finding a fair solution to the issues through political negotiations.

The message also calls upon community leaders to do their utmost to protect the Armenian colonies from the dangerous situation and to support community needs while maintaining constant contact with the Mother Monastery of Antelias.

An emergency meeting of the Central National Executive is scheduled for this evening under the presidency of His Holiness the Catholicos, during which issues related to the situation and the support to be provided to the communities will be discussed.
