The aircraft departed from Muscat early in the morning and reached Armenia through the airspace of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey.
Earlier, it was reported that the airline’s aircraft had departed from Yerevan for Muscat with the purpose of returning RA citizens located in the United Arab Emirates. The company had announced that a special Muscat-Yerevan flight would be operated on March 3. Ticket prices started from 1049 EUR.
Official data regarding the number of passengers has not yet been published.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RA had urged citizens wishing to return voluntarily from Oman to fill out the relevant application. It was also noted that the RA Embassy in the UAE would assist in the transportation of citizens from the UAE to Oman, with priority given to women, children, and the elderly.
As a reminder, American military bases and infrastructures in Oman and the UAE have become targets of Iranian strikes following attacks carried out by Israel and the USA.
