Armenian schools in Damascus are closed

The Syrian-based “Gandzasar” periodical reports that in recent days, as a result of the Iran-Israel conflict, missile fragments have been periodically falling in the southern districts of the capital.

Injuries have already been recorded in these areas, and one child died from the terror caused by the explosion.

The correspondent emphasizes that there is no Armenian population in these districts; therefore, the Armenian community is not under immediate danger. Life in Damascus generally continues its normal course, but for security reasons, it has been decided to keep all schools closed.

Armenian educational institutions have also closed their doors for preventive and security considerations.
