The number of one-way streets is set to increase
Both in the Small Center and in other administrative districts of Yerevan, changes will be made to the routes for cars and public transport. This was announced by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during the discussion of the 2025 State Budget.
Some streets have already become one-way. We have new bus routes. And I want to inform you that these bus routes will be increasing. The number of streets operating in one-way mode will also rise.
There are sections where parking exists on both sides of the curb. In some cases, one side will completely disappear. There will be many such streets, – Avinyan stated.
It is also planned to increase the number of bus routes. The streets that are constantly used by public transport will have more transport lines. Instead of bus routes, specially equipped, concreted sections will be designated where the entry and exit of other vehicles will be prohibited.
