A package of benefits for public transport users has been introduced
On November 19, the regular council meeting will present a package of benefits for public transport users. It was approved during a joint session of the “Civil Contract” and “Republic” factions.
According to the proposed package, children under 7, orphaned schoolchildren and students, individuals with first or second-degree disabilities, heroes, families with four or more children, and those under state care will use public transport free of charge. In other cases, a discount package will apply. Schoolchildren will receive a 20% discount (costing 7,040 AMD per month if purchased with a card), pensioners will get a 30% discount (6,160 AMD), students will have a 15% discount (7,480 AMD), and beneficiaries will receive a 20% discount (7,040 AMD).
The unified ticketing system will be introduced on January 1, 2025
