All urban passenger transport vehicles are free of charge for military personnel
In Armenia, military personnel can travel for free on all urban passenger transport vehicles. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Kostanyan.
Recently, there was information circulating online suggesting that passenger transport vehicles were not free for military personnel.
The spokesperson added that on November 19, a draft proposal will be presented at the regular session of the council, which will grant 100% community participation in the provision of intra-community bus services by the operator for the families of those who were killed or recognized as missing, missing in action, or deceased while performing their duties during the military operations of the Republic of Armenia or Artsakh. This proposal aims to make the fare for the routes free of charge for the families of such individuals (widows, minor children, and parents) in the Yerevan community.
