
The 2027 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships to be Held in Yerevan
The 2027 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Yerevan from April 27 to May 2. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
The statement notes that the European Gymnastics Federation has confirmed the dates for the European Championships to be held in Yerevan. The last European Artistic Gymnastics Championship (Rimini, Italy) took place in April 2024.
The agreement for the 2027 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Yerevan was signed in December 2023 in Sofia, Bulgaria. It came into effect immediately after signing. This allowed the official launch of the preparations for the European Championships.
From the 2024 European Championships, Armenia returned with one gold medal. Arthur Davtyan won the gold in vaulting. In the 2024 European Youth Championships in pommel horse, Armenia returned with one gold and one bronze medal. The gold was won by Hamlet Manukyan, and the bronze by Mamikon Khachatryan.
