Armenian national boxing team to participate in the prestigious Strandja tournament
Ten athletes from the Armenian national boxing team will participate in the 77th prestigious “Strandja” international tournament held in Bulgaria. This was reported by the Armenian Boxing Federation.
The national team has departed for Bulgaria, where the Class A tournament will take place from February 23 to March 2. “Strandja” is traditionally considered one of the most prestigious competitions of the year. This year, more than 350 athletes from 35 countries are participating in the tournament.
The men’s national team will participate in the tournament under the leadership of Rudik Mkrtchyan and Robert Petrosyan. The team includes Rudolf Garboyan (50 kg), Zhirayr Sargsyan (55 kg), Artur Bazeyan (60 kg), Artur Sahakyan (65 kg), Harutyun Hakobkokhyan (70 kg), Marat Mikaelyan (75 kg), Narek Manasyan (90 kg), and Davit Chaloyan (+90 kg).
The women’s national team, led by head coach Vazgen Badalyan, has departed for the competition venue with two athletes: Elida Kocharyan and Anush Grigoryan.
