
The World Military Wrestling Championship: Armenia won the 14th medal
The World Wrestling Championship for the Armed Forces continues at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, where Armenian wrestler Karen Khachatryan won a bronze medal.
In the 87 kg weight category, Karen Khachatryan competed for the bronze medal against the Swiss wrestler. The Armenian wrestler defeated his opponent with a score of 3:1 and secured another medal at the Armed Forces World Championship.
So far, the athletes of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia have won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 7 bronze medals at the 37th World Military Wrestling Championship. Specifically, Gaspar Terteryan (67 kg), Suren Agajanyan (60 kg), and Andranik Avetisyan (65 kg) won gold, Elen Babajanyan (53 kg), Tigran Minasyan (55 kg), and Sargis Begoyan (61 kg) won silver, while Ashot Khachatryan (77 kg), Shant Khachatryan (72 kg), Hrachya Poghosyan (63 kg), Samvel Grigoryan (82 kg), Hrayer Alikhanyan (74 kg), Arman Avagyan (79 kg), and Davit Ovasapyan (130 kg) won bronze.
